My Journey: Graduating Without a Job

I graduated last year with a BSc in Chemistry. After that, I came back home and waited almost a year for NYSC due to personal reasons. During this period, I was just praying, eating, and sleeping. I knew I really needed some source of income, but the economy in this country is not easy, coupled with the fact that I had not done my NYSC.

Later, I opted to apply for a teaching position; that turned out stressful. I was teaching five classes, nearly 18 subjects, and getting only $10 a month. After that, I opted to do business. It still didnโ€™t work out. My customers were all men, all of them more interested in what I look like rather than in my products. Frustrated, I gave up.

One day I watched a video about forex trading. I had come across it around 2019โ€“2020; as this was the initial period when this business was not that popular as nowadays, so I didnโ€™t understand anything then. All I saw were numbers, red and blue โ€” a bit funny, right? But in November 2023, I came across it again. I was torn between the two: forex trading and affiliate marketing. The final decision to go with the former was because there are a lot of free, acute resources out there on this topic. With affiliate marketing, one usually has to pay for some course so that access can be gained to the secret strategies.

I started learning forex trading from YouTube, and the best channels that I came across were โ€œThe Trading Channelโ€ and another channel that I forgot to mention. Then, there came a time when I felt the need for a mentor, but I was little hesitant to pay for one. But then, luckily, one guy came up offering a free course. He taught me everything I needed to know, step by step, word by word, strategy by strategy, candle by candle (traders will understand what I mean).

One day, as I scrolled through my Instagram page, I saw a course on the Bank Secret Forex Course, or BSFC. I hesitated whether to buy or not, but then remember what was said โ€” โ€œInvesting in yourself is the best investment youโ€™ll ever make.โ€ So, I bought the course and did not open it for two days. I was added to a private group with enthusiastic traders, of course. In this group, we were taught one on one, shared ideas, looked at charts, and discussed setups, opinions, strategies, and signals.

I was so dumbfounded when I finally opened the course. I couldnโ€™t believe that a person would produce a shareable PDF with all their secret information, strategies, and knowledge. I went through each page and started applying what I had learned in my trading journey. It gave me the best results I could have ever hoped for.

As I went deeper into forex trading, more problems and lessons came back to me. Of these several ones, the main ones were understanding the psychology of trading. It obviously turned important to quickly handle emotions like fear and greed rationally to enforce logical decisions. I learned setting obvious targets with a disciplined way to avoid changing plans due to market volatility.

I further spent enough time on technical analysis. Checking charts started being second nature to me, spotting patterns and having indicators interpreted. I also used hours backtesting a trading strategy and fine-tuning it. My efforts were paid off as consistent profit started to surface.

The journey was not without its problems, though. There have been occasions when I have suffered big losses, really testing my patience and will. With each such setback, I learned and tried to improve the strategies and risk management techniques adopted by me.

Networking with other traders was also instrumental to my growth. The private group I attended became very much like a support group. Weโ€™d shared insights on the market, discussed trends, and pushed each other. This sense of community is exactly what kept me driven and focused on goals.

The long-term prospects for forex trading as a career are what excite me the most. In the short term, I see myself attaining financial independence and being able to support my family. Long-term, my aspiration is to give back to upcoming traders by being a mentor and sharing the knowledge that helped me in becoming a successful trader. I also plan on diversifying my investments. Although trading in forex is my main venture, there are other ways through which I do trading, including trading stocks and real estate, among others. This diversification will help secure my future and create multiple streams of income. This journey of mine, right from being jobless after graduation, has been abreast with challenges but classy. Beginning as frustrated job searching and doing forex trading, I have picked many good lessons on never giving up โ€” continuous learning and the power of community that truly has oneโ€™s back. Iโ€™m very excited to know what the future holds in store, having instituted high intentions to โ€œget it doneโ€ while most definitely bringing many more people along the way.

If you are interested in learning forex trading, I highly recommend the Bank Secret Forex Course (BSFC). It provides comprehensive, easy-to-follow strategies and includes access to a supportive community of traders. Investing in this course was one of the best decisions I made on my journey to financial independence.
